Chapati Laddu: The Recipe With And Without Leftover Chapati

Chapati is a famous Indian food with atta (wheat flour). It is simple & easy to prepare at home in only a few minutes. Chapati laddus are prepared with a leftover roti or chapati.

If you don’t have leftover rotis handy, you could prepare a few rotis & let it cool fully before begin preparing the laddus.

● In a wide vessel, drop salt, wheat flour & combine properly.
● Drop water slowly & knead a firm & soft dough. Cover & set the dough for at least twenty minutes.
● Divide the dough in tiny balls, dust with wheat flour to neglect sticking to the rolling surface & roll it in the thin flat circles.
● Dust off the extra wheat flour from the roti & put in a hot skillet (cook a chapati at a time & repeat the similar procedure for the rest) & cook till it slightly starts to puff (like popping out little bubbles on top of the chapati).
● Turn & cook on another side till it puffed finely. Keep pressing the chapati smoothly without tearing, utilizing a kitchen towel it supports to cook evenly.
● Apply butter or ghee on 1 side of the chapati & serve.

And here’s the recipe to make with the leftover chapati.

Ingredients:

● WHEAT FLOUR-0.50 cup
● SALT TABLE-0.25 tsp
● SUGARS GRANULATED-2.50 tbsp
● GHEE-1 tbsp
● CASHEW NUTS RAW-2 gms
● RAISINS SEEDLESS-2 gms
● CARDAMOM-1 no

Method:

● Tear the rotis or chapatis in tiny pieces. If you don’t have rotis or chapatis handy, you could prepare in just a few minutes. Check the notes for how to prepare chapatis.
● In a blender, drop sugar, chapati pieces, cardamom & blend to a soft powder, little coarse texture is good. Put it into a bowl.
● In a tiny vessel, heat ghee, add raisins, cashew nuts, & roast till the cashew nuts color changes to golden brown. Include it to the powdered chapati mixture & combine finely.
● Shape them in tiny balls & serve or store in a fridge for three to four days.
